Tuesday's card was a modest graded card, with
plenty of Bags dogs.
Black
Lightning flew out of the traps in the opening A9 and made all. Sirdar
kept on to finish second after a very slow start.
Toosey
Lyn broke best and led up in the H3. He fell at the second
hurdle and Coolaboola
Beth took over on the run to the 3rd bend and went on to win. Caseys
Winner kept on for second.
King
Jackson ran all over the shop in a weak A8, but still came out
on top. Blue
Kanaka eased at the 3rd bend and plugged on for second. There's
a real funny story about Blue
Kanaka. She whelped a litter in Oct 06, though it was not
planned! Grayfox Chip
was kennelled next to Blue
Kanaka and he paid her a visit in the night. He tunnelled in
from the kennel next door and had his evil way with her. What a
legendary swordsman. Now what's the chance of him being a decent
dog, surely he'll be a modest grader? No, he's a decent open race
dog. Now, you have to laugh at the names of a couple of the pups.
One is named Avit (runs at the Stow on Tuesday) and another is named
Hammerthedevil.
Lins
Dragon made all to land a modest A7. Wheres
Rosie showed some pace from the 2nd bend and kept on for second.
Centaur
Gemstone made all to land the second A7 (5 ran). He'd been twice
a beaten fav recently, so was not winning out of turn. Sailor
Lee plugged on for second. Centaur
Gemstone is out of the same dam as the marathon bitch Genesis
Alix.
Chilli
Blue broke well and led round in the A6. Seven
Gold Bars outpaced him running into the third bend and went on
to score, despite running wide at the last bend. Kinda
Classic showed some pace down the back straight after a very
slow start and plugged on for second.
Doonanes
Babe led round in the S2, but Silky
Rose swept by going down the back straight for the final time
and ran out a ready winner. Doonanes
Babe plodded on for second. Reenview
Lass challenged and was bumped at the 3rd, before fading from
the last bend.
Robbies
Hero led round in the A5, but could not match the pace shown by Versailles.
Versailles
took over at the 3rd bend after not running the 1st two bends
fluently and he went on to score. He's a long way from being the
most reliable. Versailles
held on for second after fading on the run in.
Lodge
Magic made all to land the A4 following up on his win last week.
Directors
Vision moved off & suffered a bump at the 1st bend, before
keeping on for second. Droopys
Marcus got it all wrong, There will be other days for him.
Castlemary
Podge made all to land the A3. He was a little slow rounding the
1st two bends and rode a bump before scoring readily enough. He's
now 4 wins from 7 at the Stow. Ballyneale
Light stayed on at one pace for second.
Offshore
Mill broke best and led round in the A2. Despite not running the
2nd bend fluently, I
Dont Clare showed the best pace down the back and led from the
3rd bend. Dark
Fantasy plugged on and finished second from the fading Offshore
Mill.
Tiggy
Oggy timed his late challenge to perfection, when getting up on
the line to land a horrid S4 finale. Beltra
Delta also stayed on and went down by a short head. Courts
Ad Unique had made the early running, but faded on the run in.
