The opening A9 was won by
Multeen Magic. After an average break, he paced up into the
bend, took the 1st 2 bends well and went on to win by a comfortable
3 lengths. This was just his 2nd win from 15 Stow starts.
Ballymac Martins started slowly, was bumped on the run up and
kept on for second.
A grim H2 followed and it went
to
Rumbling Joe. He started slowly and jumped high at the first
hurdle. He led from the 3/4 in an incident paced race.
Siesta Romeo jumped high and plodded on for second.
The
S4 was a void race as they forgot to send the hare round. Odell Inca
had some fair form in Ireland and did lead up to the 1st bend before
the hare was stopped. Shocking grading, I suspect he'll be boxed up
or have dogs downgraded to run against next time.
Centaur Lucky paced up well to the bend after a modest start and
led round in the A7. He was headed at the last bend and was one
paced on the run in.
Wheres Rosie got a clear run and stayed on to lead on the run
in.
Genotin Java was smashed up at the 2nd bend after a poor start.
Wise Butler was dropped in grade in the A6 and was sent off 2/1
fav. He took his time to get going and ran wide 3-4, but eventually
consented to get on with the job.
Match led to half way, but faded on the run in.
Lethal Freddie showed promise on his debut last week and was
sent off 7/4 JF. He paced up well to the bend, drove the bends well
and ran out a fair winner of this A5. I'd like to see him take on
the eventual 2nd again.
Toome Point ran wide & was hammered at the start. He kept on to
finish 3 3/4 lengths 2nd. His turn should come soon.
Lode Star made all to land the S1 in a decent 39.88.
Twilight Fantasy started slowly and kept on for second.
Paxton Prince showed decent early pace and made all to land the
A4.
Journey Star showed some pace down the back straight after a
modest start and kept on for second.
Elusive Tuesday ran a shocker.
The A2 looked a tricky heat beforehand.
Special Deal got a clear run from his plot rails draw and ran on
to lead from the 3rd bend.
Perceptive Pacey showed some middle pace after a slow start and
kept on for second.
Mystical Haka had previously won six A1 races at the Stow before
the A1 this evening. Could he make it seven? He was sent off 11/10
fav. He didn't trap well, but unleashed his trademark early boot to
lead round. He tied up on the run in and held on by a neck.
Toosey Tops ran on and threatened to challenge, but faded near
the line.
