Sparkey
puts in a battling effort to land the top heat
Walthamstow Report
05 Feb 2008
Tuesday's card was a mixed card with some
reasonable opens.
Sailor
Lee ran out a decent winner of the opening A9. He showed decent
early pace and pulled clear. He's a scopey dog and should do ok. Mistley
Colonel showed promise in second after he was badly crowded at
the start after a slow start. He ran on quite well and should not be
long in winning.
Baran
Kylie won a moderate A7, leading from the 3/4, he was one paced
on the run in. Courts
Ad Unique plodded on for 2nd after a slow start. Blarney
Tulip was crowded at the 3/4 and faded after looking like he may
get involved.
Julies
Protege flew home in the 4th ARC TRIAL STAKES - Division 5.
Making the most of a vacant trap on her inside (she was in trap 2),
she banged out and made all. Stone
Mole Spark did nothing wrong in second.
Tidy
Hotspur set the early pace in the poor S4 event. She was headed
at the 5th bend and faded on the run in. Appletown
Donna led between the last 2 bends and went on to score. Mount
Hill Girl was smashed up at the first bend, but still managed to
finish 2nd.
Bell
Classic paced up well land led round in the 4th ARC TRIAL STAKES
- Division 4. Milldean
Flash missed the break and done his running to get to them He
led briefly, but faded on the run in. Broadacres
Rob checked at a few bends, but his pace on the straight s took
him to the front where it counted. He was returning from an 81 day
break, but only time will tell if he stands up to the racing. Bell
Classic kept on and grabbed second from the fading Milldean
Flash.
Directors
Vision led off the second and landed the A6. Blue
Screamer led for a while, but was outpaced and crowded at the
2nd. She was also crowded at the 3/4, so did ok to finish second.
Cobra
Striking showed his blinding early pace again and led round in
the 4th ARC TRIAL STAKES - Division 3. He's not been at his best for
some time now and so it was not too surprising to see him beat again
here. Rooster
Nosey ran really well last time and came and grabbed the fading Cobra
Striking on the run in.
No too many saw out the
trip well in the S1. Bell
Imperial faded to the rear after leading to the 5th bend. Placid
Jill took over at the 5th and went on to score. Mitzie
rode a few bumps and stayed on for second.
True
Frankie set the early pace in the 2nd S1 and was outpaced by Bold
Talent on the run to the 4th bend. Bold
Talent failed to see out the trip and True
Frankie took over again and led on the run in.
Kindred
Sparky put in a game effort to land the 4th ARC TRIAL STAKES -
Division 1. Mystical
Haka showed the better early pace on this occasion, but Kindred
Sparky gamely stuck his neck out and landed a battling win. Kilkenny
Lonjack stayed on for 3rd and Legal
Major did not come home well after easing at the 3rd bend. Mustang
Garcia was another who was not fluent at the 3rd bend and he
faded on the run in.
Winch
Whippet made all to land the A5. He ran wide at every
opportunity and held on by a head from Baran
Red, who was just plodding on for second. Podges
Dilemma moved off and was badly crowded at the second bend after
a slow start.
Droopys
Madam made all to land the S2 finale. She ran wide at the bends
and held on by half a length from Gilbeyhall
Rodge. Gilbeyhall
Rodge was particularly unlucky as he was smashed up at the first
bend.
