Cachem Platty got a clear run in the opening A8 and pulled clear
of his field to win by 5 3/4 lengths in 29.19. The stewards should
have called a tea party, I mean enquiry. I'm not sure if they did.
Nellies Choice checked off at the 2nd bend but still emerged
best of the rest.
Winkys Don again showed his abundant "spirit" in he H1. He
showed decent early pace to lead and when
Snazzy Time went past him at the 3rd, it looked all over.
Winkys Don was having none of it and showed screws pace to take
it up again. When he puts it all in, it will take a fast dog to beat
this fellow.
Snazzy Time faded on the run in, but still held second. I'm
warming to "The Don".
Annandale Dixie set the early pace in the S3, but faded on the
run in and was caught near the line by
I Mean That.
I Mean That was very slow away and was outpaced early. The other
slow old boats didn't get in his way and he got up near the line.
Pinewood Gypsy broke well and led round in the A7, but was
nailed near the line. He's now 0/7, but his turn should come soon.
Blues Wish started slowly and got a clear run. He ran on and led
near the line. This was his first win at the Stow.
Scorpio Skippy was clumsy & crowded at the 2nd bend and ran
poorly.
Special Liberty was the 3rd dog on the row to lead to near the
line and get caught in the P6. This was just his 2nd run, so he
should do ok.
Gold Zara Street stayed on after a slow start and led near the
line.
Moscow Megan led a field of slow starters in the A6. She only
led to the 2nd bend and folded tamely.
Aoifes Flight took over at the 2nd, but could not sustain the
gallop and was headed at the 3rd bend.
Mystical Class was stepping back in distance and took over from
the 3rd bend. She had had a month off too.
Time Connection was yet another leader to get nailed late on in
the S3.
Ebony Ocean had looked as if she was coming to hand in recent
runs. She ran wide at a few bends and stayed on to lead late on the
run in.
Farley
Legend led a field of modest starters in the A4. He faded in the
run in and was claimed by Special
Trip. Special
Trip ran on , but had a look near the line.
Fat
Man Dan had found things tough in S2 after a facile win in an S3
a few runs back. He was quick away and put daylight between himself
and his rivals. He won this S2 in decent style, though it was not a
strongly contested race. Hallam
Tor followed him home, despite fading near the line.
Sophie
Rose led round in the A3, but has failed to recover her best
form and was headed at the 3rd bend and was one paced afterwards. Largo
Lassie took over at the 3rd bend and won comfortably.
Onbir
Dan made all for a decent win in the A2. This was his 3rd win on
the spin and he's obviously improving. Vigorous
Whitney kept on for second. Pennys
Padma missed the break, was crowded at the second and never got
competitive.
Fear
Mykeo continued her rich vein of form when landing the A1.
Quickly into her stride, it was all over in a matter of strides. She
now has won 19 from 29 at the Stow. Black
As Coal kept on for second after a slow start. Larkhill
Jackie trapped well, but ran moderately.
