Not A Trace led and made all in the opening A8 after a pile up
behind.
Issy Bee caused it, running off at the first bend.
Mams Cash rode a couple of bumps and kept on for second.
Hotdog Jack paced up well in the second H1, but hammered into
the first hurdle and lost all chance.
Cunning Darby led round, but faded from the 3/4.
Firm Handed took over and pulled clear.
Townhill Blues started slowly, but ran and and bravely barged
his way through at the 3rd bend. He was a gutsy winner. This was his
7th win from 24 starts, a decent record for a dog winning an A7.
Rain Rush plugged on for second.
Whoosh Im Gone lived up to his name, when running out a decent
trap to line winner on his debut.
Chadwell Ash plodded on for second.
Robbies Hero showed some promise in third and may do well.
Lady Clarissa won a shocking S4, making all the running. The
less said about these "races" the better.
Meander made the early running in the A6 and despite a drop in
grade, she again could not maintain the gallop and faded on the run
in.
Reachfar Gifted rode a few bumps, but ran on and led on the
line.
Robbies Kewell held every chance, but looked one to be a bit
wary of to me.
Twilight Fantasy broke well in the A5, but lacked the early pace
to lead up and was crowded at the first bend. After a slow start,
Baran Revolver showed a modicum of pace, got a clear run and led
from the second bend.
Twilight Fantasy kept on for second.
Form Of Love checked & faded from the 3rd bend.
Eye Onthe Power set the earl pace in the S1 and
Double Top emerged as a big threat down the back straight. I
think he was just one paced from the 5th bend on this occasion, but
others felt he refused. It wouldn't be the first time.
Rio Divo plugged on and led on the run in.
Pennys Padma made a mightily impressive debut in the A4. Quickly
into his stride, he was a most impressive winnner. Despite some
decent Irish form, he was surprisingly sent off 5/1 here. All I can
say, is thanks for the money!
Early Notice was outpaced from the second bend, but kept on to
finish a remote second.
Ardagh Mike made all to land the A2 at a generous looking 6/1. I
can't see how he was sent off this price, as he was always going to
lead.
Not So Jolly stayed on for second.
The evening ended with a very weak S3.
Benro Maxie ran on and beat the early pace setter
Slick Sophia.
Benro Maxie is likely to struggle in a higher grade.
