Mix
Em Up landed the opening A7, leading most of the way. Directors
Vision's steering let him down, he was all over the place. He
led for a brief while (3/4 to run in), but has yet to get his head
in front and is proving expensive to follow. Find
It Out may have got involved in the finish, but suffered a bad
bump at the last bend.
Deans
Lu did well to land the A6, after the Peckham dog, Fools
And Horses ran wide from his inside from the traps cannoning
into him. Lady
Clarissa set the early pace, but did not see out the trip and
faded on the run in. Fools
And Horses didn't negotiate the second band at all well and
needs more experience.
Pennys
Britney was an impressive trap to line winner of the A5.
Returning from a 60 day layoff, this was a good run. She has a
decent 11/35 strike rate at the Stow. Jo
Jo Anne finished a remote second after being crowded on the run
up.
January
Sailor paced up well to lead up in the next A5, but after a 204
day layoff, his effort was short lived, and he moved aside at half
way. So
Said He took over at half way and went on to score. Directors
Time kept on and finished second.
Double
Pickins made all for a comfortable win in the S3 for his 4th win
from 31 Stow runs. I
Mean That stayed on late and grabbed second.
Lurgan
Head showed decent early pace and led round in the next A5. His
stride shortened on the run in and he was caught by the eventual
winner Localimprovement
and also by the staying on Fionntra
Lisa, who grabbed second. Lurgan
Head should win races with his early pace. His Irish form
equates to ca A3 by my reckoning.
Directors
Trick was a decent winner on his debut in the A4. He's a scopey
dog and one to follow. Buckland
Wally ran his usual honest race and finished second.
Boy
Becca set a good early pace in the A3. However, he appeared to
cramp up at the last bend. Like
Hot Cakes took up the invitation and stayed on to lead on the
run in.
Coolanga
Flyer led from the second bend and landed the S1. Swift
Maggie was again, not fluent at the bends and finished second.
Thats
My Boy led up in the next A3, but lost the plot at the second
bend. Offshore
Mill hit the front at half way and pulled away from his rivals. Thats
My Boy plugged on for second. The favvy, Addington
Ruby, ran a poor race.
Blackstone
Billy was dropped in class in the A2 and after a slow start and
suffering trouble on the run up looked in trouble. However, he
showed different class pace on the back straight and ran away from
his rivals. Hypatia
Blue was erratic & crowded on the run up, but plodded on for
second.
Fitzie
set the early pace in the A2, but could not sustain the gallop and
faded on the run in. Greenfield
Post started slowly and was crowded at the 3rd bend when staying
on. He came again and led near the line.
Clonbrin
Ted led up in the A1. Noirs
Heart was close behind and he drove the bend well. He took it up
at half way and went on to land the prize. Clonbrin
Ted kept on and finished second.
Airtech
Spur paced up and led in the finale, an S2. He faded from the
last bend and was caught by True
Frankie on the line. True
Frankie eased at the bends, but still managed to get up where it
counts.
