Leading
Chief showed some early pace and led up in the opening P9. Centaur
Gemstone had his measure and took over at the 4th bend and went
on to score. Centaur
Gemstone is by Morphes Pearl, the dam of the marathon bitch
Genesis Alix. Leading
Chief was one paced from the 4th bend and held on for second.
Chase
The Dream won well in a H2 last time and built on that effort
with another solid display. He showed decent early pace and took a
middle course from his trap one draw. He made all from Watercourse
Boy, who stayed on fairly well for second.
The
S3 race was a shocking affair. Dolores
Again started well, but was a long way from fluent at the bends
and was headed at the 3rd bend. Sliponein
ran on and took over at the 3rd bend and won comfortably. Such was
the poor nature of the race, Dolores
Again still held on for second, despite checking all over the
place.
Katies
Crystal improved from his debut and was a decent trap to line
winner in the P6. She should be good for a few wins in the coming
weeks, starting from a lowly grade.. Scorpio
Skippy ran a fair second.
Baran
Zorro led at the first bend and made all to land the A6 on his
debut.. He had time to ease at pretty well every bend, yet his
rivals could not get to him. Baran
Zorro's dam Mustang Kylie was A4 & S1. Fat
Man Dan broke well and held every chance in second.
Directors
Star was an impressive winner of the A5. He broke well, pulled
clear and made all. . This was his second win from 6 starts. He's
well bred. Deans
Lu stayed on for second.
Sofem
made all for an comfortable win in the S3. Silbury
Squirrel started very slowly and stayed on for second. Aranock
Sand eased and was crowded at the first bend and never got in
the hunt.
Tanner
Butler was towed up to the second bend by Winch
Whippet in the A4. Tanner
Butler took over at that point and was a decent winner. This was
her 10th win from 34 W'stow starts. Phoenix
Gerry ran a decent race in second.
Genesis
Dream was a very impressive winner in the A3. She broke
superbly, came off the rails and made all. Siesta
Romeo didn't see which way she went and finished a long second.
Pennys
Viva broke well and led up in the A2. She looked set to score,
but was gunned down late on by Lethal
Frankie on her debut. Lethal
Frankie had put together some smart trials. Lethal
Frankie was 1/9 in Ireland, a 28.78 at Limerick. She'll face
some tough races in the coming weeks.
Wheres
The Girls led round in the S1. She was headed at the 4th bend
and dwelt from the 5th bend. Greenfield
Post, led at the 4th bend, but did not see out the trip and
faded on the run in. Lode
Star started slowly, stayed on and led on the run in.
There
was a pile up at the first bend in the A2. Denwood
Star emerged the leader out of the second bend, but was not
fluent at the 3rd bend and faded. Eye
Onthe Flame took over at the 3rd bend and was followed home by Blue
Rizzler.
Mystical
Haka made all in the A1. Vigorous
Whitney stayed on and was crowded at the 3rd bend and was
somewhat unlucky, going down by just a head. Kilelton
Rose stayed on for 3rd.
The usual dreadful
closing event ended the evening. Funky
Fantasy led from the second bend in the S2, but could not
sustain the gallop as Poachertink
took over at the 4th bend and went on to score. Rumour
Has It stayed on for second.
