Choice
Jock showed just about the best early pace in the opening A8,
but slowed running into the bend. Toosey
Lyn took advantage, showing some EP after an average start and
she led from the first bend. Choice
Jock kept on for second. Toosey
Lyn has won in A5 grade previously.
In the second A8, Control
The Bill led a field of slow starters at the first bend. He was
led by Time
Connection on the run up, but Time
Connection never took part after failing to turn in front. Crashmeup
challenged at the 3rd bend, ran wide at the 4th bend and led on he
run in. Crashmeup
is by an open race dam in Topmeup.
There was some shocking jumping in the H2 race. Rumbling
Joe jumped highest of them all and conceded so much ground that
his flat pace could not get him into the race. Ravestock
Woody led off the second, but was slow at the third hurdle and
lost the race. Castleivy
Sand jumped best and led from the third bend. Chase
The Dream drifted off at the 2nd bend and plugged on for second.
Black
Elegance made all in an appalling S4. Chloes
Molly kept on for second. The shorr runner, Courage
Best missed the break and could never get his desierd lead.
Banjo
Ocean made all in the A7 for his 4th win from 15 starts. Banjo
Ocean is by Annes Honcho, who was a Walthamstow open racer,
principally over 4 bends. Lews
Trickster ran so wide, I thought he was coming in the bar
off the last bend. He kept on for second.
Bell
Tempest left plenty of lengths on the track when winning the A7.
After his normal slow start, he found trouble at the 2nd and 3rd
bends. He still came home with plenty to spare. This was only his
2nd win from 13 attempts. He may be suited to better class races and
probably will stay 6 bends as well. Too
Many Miles showed some promise in leading till fading on the run
in on her return from season. The rest put on a poor show and Tsali
Shearer plodded on for second.
The A6 was a decent race. Directors
Star started well and made all. He's well bred and one to keep
on your side. Droopys
Kan Kan stayed on well and ran him to a neck.
Milwaukee
Tools led up in the second A6, but looked far from sound when
slowing round the third bend. His tail was well up in the air. He's
not too genuine at the best of times and is now not looking too
sound as well. Directors
Perk took over at the 3rd bend and best him by a length. He was
returned 4/7. This was a second race on the spin for The McCluskey/Dee/Wallis
combination.
Bell
Imperial paced up well and led round in the S1. He could not
sustain the gallop and faded after being headed on the back
straight. Eye
Onthe Power took over and went on to score. Killeacle
Hobbs was clumsy when challenging at the 5th bend, when holding
every chance.
On her second run back from season, Tanner
Butler was sent off 5/4 jolly. She was quick into her stride and
led round. She had no answers, when Wise
Digger swept by at the third bend. Wise
Digger was well supported in the ring and won well.
Ringview
Rascal made all in the A2 for an impressive 8th win from 14
Walthamstow starts. It was a bunch finish though, with Pennys
Viva coming out best of the others. The first four all finished
in a heap.
Directors
Choice ran out a decent trap to line winner in the second A2. He
moved off at half way, but had plenty in hand, winning by just over
5 lengths. This was his 3rd win on the trot and a third winner for
his owners on the night, a double treble! Noirs
Heart challenged to the second bend and plugged on for second.
He'll not be long in winning.
Wheres
The Girls put it all in and ran out an impressive winner of the
S2 finale. She was quickly into her stride and never saw another
rival. Genesis
Alix kept on to finish a long second.
