Bali
Hi Amy made all in the opening A9. She had previously won 10
from 45 starts at Henlow, so was very fairly graded in A9 here.
Kelly Mullins kennel is in fine form. Music
Manners started very slowly and stayed on for second. Sadly, he
had a tear up after the line.
July
Captain showed better form on the flat than his brother Westgate
Flash. However, Westgate
Flash seems to have more of an appetite for the hurdles. Westgate
Flash led from the second hurdle in this H1, until being
outpaced by Four
Minutes going into the 3rd bend. Four
Minutes had a dwell up in front and presented the race back to Westgate
Flash. It was Westgate
Flash's owners birthday, so this was a very welcome win. Nice
one Bill!
Our
Dog Brandy made all in the A8. He ran wide at the bends, but
still won comfortably enough. Trailer
Dawn stayed on for second.
My bitch Droopys
Kestrel broke well and led up in the S1. She forfeited valuable
ground, running slightly wide at the bends and faded tamely from the
5th. I was rather hoping she would step forward from her last win. True
Frankie kept on and took it up from the 5th bend. Irate
Kate started slowly, eased at the first bend and ran on to
finish a length and a half second.
Roswell
Zodiac showed good early pace and made all in the P7. He held a
good lead down the back straight, but came back to the filed and
only won by just over a length in the end. Moscow
Megan (by Moscow Sandy 2006 Arc finalist) broke ok and kept on
for second. Scorpio
Branch ran well when he won last week, but ran a shocker this
time.
Baby
Levi started fast and held a good lead in the P6. However, his
stride shortened between the last two turns and he was caught on the
run in. Senahel
Pandy started modestly, showed some pace to the 3rd bend and led
on the run in. Beat
Them Jenny turned 2nd, but faded from the 3rd bend. Aero
Blackjack was slow away and stayed on for 3rd.
Thats
My Boy made all in the A5. He's a scopey sort and should improve
on this. Patricks
Flyer broke ok, was outpaced to the first bend and kept on and
held every chance, going down by a length.
Buckland
Star paced up well and led round in the A4. Swing
Low broke modestly and got a clear run round the first 2 turns.
He ran on well and led from between the last 2 bends. He's a pacey
dog, but does check at the bends on a number of occasions. Billsdad
Bill broke modestly and stayed on for second.
All
Clued Up came back to form with a bang and ran out a most
impressive winner in the A4. After a number of disappointing
efforts, he made no mistake here, winning by six lengths in a fast
28.72. A double upgrade must be on the way after this. Short
Circuit broke ok, was not fluent at the second bend and kept on
for second.
In the A3, Ardagh
Mike started best and led up. He was done near the line though,
as Kilelton
Rose started slowly and stayed on and took it up close home. .
Clonbrin
Ted was sent off a generous looking 4/1 shot in the A2 and he
always looked a likely leader. He smashed out and made all, sending
me and my bank manager happy! I
Dont Clare got a nice clear run and held every chance, going
down by a length in second.
Sophie
Rose added another win to her growing tally in the A1m starting
well and making all. Special
Deal continued his consistent run of seconds, going down by 1
1/4 lengths. He's the fastest dog of these all right, but can't
negotiate the 3rd bend. Pennys
Viva kept on to finish a neck further back in third. .
Ellron
and Directors
Time had a good tussle up front in the S2 finale. They came
together a few times and didn't held one another. Directors
Time took it up from the 4th bend, but eased at the 5th.bend and
faded. Melon
Twister and Luciesilvas
swept by at the 5th and Melon
Twister sent favourite backers home happy.
