Tuesday's card featured a dreadful graded card.
While there were a few to bet on, it was a dreadful spectacle.
The
evening opened with a moderate A9.They plodded up the the bend in a
bit of a line and Droopys
Attracta swung round on the draw and made all. There was some
bunching in behind. Chunky
finished second. After a very slow start, he showed a bit of early,
was crowded at the first and plodded on for second Despite it
being Another
Flower's debut tonight, I think that she may be retiring soon,
if tonight's run was anything to go by. She was far too interested
in her rivals tonight. I'm sure she'll make a nice pet.
True
Thomas brought a dismal 1/16 record to the table in the second
A9, but such was the weak level of this race, he was sent off odds
on. Those brave souls who invested never had a moments anxiety.
Despite a modest start, there was such a lack of EP in the race,
that he swung round and made all. Datewithdestiny
plugged on for second.
Green
Jeanie flew to the corner in the A8 and led round. Surely she
couldn't stay there, could she? Mix
Em Up swung round handy and with the race at his mercy, dwelt
for England from the 3rd bend, with the race at his mercy. Anyone
who backed Green
Jeanie can count their selves as one lucky b'stard. She was not
the only lucky winner on the evening.
Jeremy
swung round in front off the second bend in the P7, but had no
answer to Journey
Back, as he showed the better pace on the back straight. (and
ruined my bet :( ) Journey
Back swung off at the last, but Jeremy
was unable to take up the invitation.
The second A7
event was a shocker. Droopys
Tomo was sent off the Evens jolly and ran a shocker. Anns
Bliss led down the back straight for a bit. Athy
Ranger was crowded round the first two bends, but ran all over
his field to lead at the 3/4.
Tinky
Rolls led round in the S1, but was never going to win against
these. Double
Top took it up at the 4th and looked to have all the arras. He
looked like he had a dwell up last week and that view was confirmed
tonight. He invited Be
Wise Lady to take up the running a few times and pulled out a
little more each time she came close to him. While Double
Top has lots of ability, he's one to be wary of in the coming
weeks.
True
Kewell broke ok and led up in the A6, until fading on the run
in. Armies
Mentor broke modestly, kept on and led on the run in.
Carden
Noir broke slowly in the second A6. She got a clear run and led
from the second to the 3rd, and faded on the run in. Noirs
Teresa hit the front at the 3rd, but was gunned down by Scary
Flight, who ran on after a slow start to lead near the line.
Race
ten. We must be up to A3, right? No this is Karzy Tuesday at the
Stow. Time for another A6. :( Ellron
broke best and led until Droopys
Madam swept by between the last two bends.
Treacle
Star started best in the A4, but was outpaced and then
interfered with by Poacher
Man. Poacher
Man had the race at his mercy, but is not genuine and threw the
race away. Daisyfield
Bella was an extremely lucky winner after being out with the
washing, early doors.
Systems
Sound showed some smart early boot in the A2 to lead at half way
and go clear. As his stamina ran out on the run in, Classy
Star came from an impossible position, with a strong run to lead
on the line.
The evening ended with the usual
dreadful staying race. Canary
Fantasy led to the fifth and Off
Course led briefly and dwelt up. In what turned out to be a
battle of the dwellers, Smoking
Jet turned a potential 4+ length victory into a neck win.
