Jim gave them the
chop
Walthamstow Report
03 Apr 2007
An average graded card for a Tuesday
I
missed the first but my mate who grades them had it as an A10, so I
don't supposed we missed too much there.
The
H2 didn't look like it would take too much winning and Castleivy
Sand led up and made all.
In
the H1, the favvy Kaysers
Hill broke poorly and was quickly sandwiched by his rivals
either side. Well
Presented led up and made all, producing some magnificent leaps
in the process. Sadly that is not the best way to jump them.
Ask
Dont Tell led up in the A9 and led until running wide at the 4th
turn. Dark
Fantasy kept on and led on the run in.
Wee
Fifer went rails and was bumped on the run up, but showed some
fair early pace to lead up. He led until the run in. Marathon
Girl was bumped on the run up, but showed some decent middle
pace and led on the run in.
Issy
Bee bolted out of the traps in the S4 shitter race and then
faded from the 5th bend to finish 10L last! Spring
Paris was slow away, but kept on to lead between the last two
bends.
Lockwood
Littljo's Irish form had many fancying him on his debut in the
A7. I had it as an A6 performance, on my system, so did not
particularly fancy it. Lockwood
Littljo broke fairly well and led to between the last two bends,
where the favvy Lizzies
Angel took over. Lizzies
Angel broke averagely, but showed some EP here and led 3/4.
Jim
The Butcher showed a bright turn of early pace and made all to land
the A6 race. July
Captain progressed to finish a decent second.
Truly
Scrumtious defied a 129 day absence (ex season) to land the A5
in trap to line fashion. Run
Along was average away, drove the bend and challenged and was
crowded at the 3rd bend. He should not be long in winning,
particularly if returning back to the Bags.
Oscars
Market produced a fair start and made ll to land the A1 in a
fair 29.93. Bell
Imperial was a distant second.
Fenland
Lark was the 4th of five Seamus Cahill trained runners. Seamus
is absolutely different class at the Stow now, particularly with the
departure of the Gaskins. Fenland
Lark was a bit slow round the 1st two turns, but stayed on and
led on the run in. Dan
Of War led up, but faded on the run in.
The short runner January
Student made all in the A3 race. The short favvy Crying
Shame took her time to get going and was done at the 3rd bend. January
Student looked vulnerable from the last bend, but had just
enough in hand.
Compliance
Lad made the running in the A2, but could not hold Addington
Ruby, who kept on and led on the run in. Addington
Ruby landed a few bets from the hideaway shrewdies.
I took my eye off the ball before the usual
piss-poor finale took place. Pennys
Lindsay won it.
