This

Walthamstow
Report 24 Feb 2007
Saturday’s meeting was a modest
graded card for the punters.
Canary
Tide attracted support in the opening P9 and led up early until
running wide at the 4th bend an tiring. The other joint
favourite Tadgells
Emily was slow away, but stayed on to lead on the run in. Cloughies
Dream had a fight out the back, but was not red carded, as she did
not have her rival over the fence.
The A7 was the first of a number of
winners for the Gary Baggs kennel as Wonting
made all the running. In the white corner was The
Stocktaker hailing out of the Dickie Hawkes Kennel, had won two out of
his nineteen contests, none by way of knock out. He had a major
dwell up on the run in and aggressively interfered with Kennoway
Archie and was show the red card. Newline
Mentor checked up between the first two bends and finished lame.
The S3 was a pretty grim race and
it went the way of Daphs
Domino who broke well led to the second and took up the running
again at the 5th. Rumour
Has It led from the second until having a dwell up at the 5th bend.
Pigalle
Rainbow threatened to get involved at the 5th bend, but
refused to pass.
True
Kewell was an impressive winner in the P7. He is a consistent
trapper and broke well for an all the way win.. Of the other, Tenbucks
Ebony eased at the 3rd and the favourite Eye
Onthe Spark ran moderately.
True
Fowler broke fairly well and was allowed to make all in the P6. The
race was littered with trouble. Droopys
Madam went wide at the traps and hammered into Off
Course who kept on ok for second. Layham
Lass spiked Droopys
Madam and knocked her over. Millwards
Angel didn’t break as well as she can and was done at the 2nd
bend.
This was a third winner for the
Gary Baggs kennel.
Placid
Jill made all to win a moderate S1. Lode
Of Yank was a load of *ank. Centaur
Iris was a bit dissapointing in second.
Wheres
Bibby broke well and led up in the A5. January
Student showed the better pace and took over and was all out to win.
Luck
Mentor cut out the early running in the A4.
She folded tamely and the favvy Eye
Onthe Star took it up and held on. Corcra
Agus Or stayed on for second.
The screwball Old
Jamaikey produced a good start, but had another dwell up after getting
lonely in front. Not
So Jolly led at the 3rd turn and beat his kennelmate Fear
Oliver who had previously stopped chasing at Harlow. He’s one to
avoid I would think.
The True treble was landed as True
Frankie comfortably landed the marathon when leading at the 3rd
bend. Unlikely
Hotshow found lots of trouble and kept on valiantly for second.
Shotgun
Billy showed some smart early foot in the A3 before checking up
yet again at the first bend. He’s got blinding early, but wants
the Edgware straights. Clonbrin
Ted led off the second, was headed by King
Forever, but came back for more and led on the line. The favourite Localimprovement
ran appallingly.
Bell
Classic made all to land the A2. Tinky
Rolls checked off at the second. Addington
Ruby was outpaced from the 3rd bend. Shrewd
Observer ran a shocker.
Snazzy
Rover put in a brilliant performance for the Seamus Cahill kennel
in the A1. He smashed out and burnt up the track to record a very
fast 28.63. He carried kennel confidence and the bookies did a Fred
Done and were paying out after a yard. Sophie
Rose was spiked at the second bend. Impartial
View checked up at the second bend.
A dreadful S2 closed the card and the usual
lottery event was won by Reddmac
One after the
inconsistent Milwaukee
Tools refused after leading
from the second bend to the fifth.
