NFL NFC conference
championship
Green Bay -6.5 @ 4/6 with
Ladbrokes will disappear by game time, so willing to bet shorter to
stay under 7. Nothing would please me more than to see the great man
Favre lift to the trophy, he is a truly great player and his
durability is almost superhuman. Anyway have to mention the
wonderful effort of Grant at Running back last week, a stunning
performance given his poor start. The conditions should not suit Eli
Manning, see below....
Has never operated in weather as merciless as this. His pro
history under unpleasant conditions is less than impressive. He
hates the cold as much as he struggles with the wind. According to
the Elias Sports Bureau, Manning has a quarterback rating under 60
and a completion rate under 50% when the temperature is 39 degrees
or below.
This weekend has a forecast of -15 degrees c or 5 farenheit in
old money.
On top of that get this...........
At 5 degrees, the expected temperature on Sunday, a quarterback
generally becomes a pocket Popsicle, unless his name is Brett Favre.
Favre, who may be part Yeti, holds a 43-5 record at home when the
game-time temperature is 34 degrees or lower.
CHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGE

Bubba Franks is a proper value bet at 33/1 (taken) and now 25/1
with Laddies. (Ed 30.0 Betfair) After a disappointing 2005-2006, and injuries to boot
he has returned fresh and although sharing the load with Donald Lee
he is just the sort of player Favre will use should there be a Red
Zone opportunity. Experience counts for plenty at this stage and
with 3 TD's in 8 games this year you cannot pass by the price
without a dabble.
