NFL Week 7
Seattle are the NAP tonight against the battered RAMS.
Defensively, I cannot see how St Louis can stop Alexander, who is
most likely to dominate the game. If he gets it going, 150+ yards is
on the cards tonight, that will go a long way to getting the job
done. St Louis on the other hand, will need some inspiration, but
star man Jackson is unlikely to start. The team is already looking
tired, not a good sign for a team on the road with an 0-6 against a
side with much to prove and wanting to assert their superiority in
the NFC West.

Baltimore lack the firepower of some offences, but can usually be
relied upon to make plays when they don’t have the ball. The Bills
are hardly setting the world alight and rookie QB Edwards is
unlikely to get too much change out of the Ravens defence. If it
comes down to a dogfight late on, Baltimore have the know how to win
game, but I think they will have it won entering the 4th quarter.

Patriots are knocking all comers over and Miami should be no
exception based on current form, but there are some interesting
factors for this game. Miami shut the Patriots out in 2006, under
not too different circumstances. It's a 10000/1 chance that this
will happen again, but expect the defence to improve, especially now
that Jason Taylor seems to be getting back to his best form.
Irrespective of their poor form and results, Miami have a genuine
machine in Ronnie Brown. He is likely to be dominant in most of
Miami’s offence. That’s a good thing, as it’s important for
Miami to get more ball retention and dominate the clock. That could
unsettle the Patriots. Chris Chambers has been traded and that was a
bit of a surprise, but maybe this is indicative of Miami looking to
Brown more, as the season progresses. Cleo Lemon was a breath of
fresh air for the Miami offence last week. This kid can play. He is
pretty mobile and made one heck of a throw and play against the
Browns last week, He gave his team a massive lift when a crushing
defeat was on the cards. A similar performance from him could be
good enough. Let’s hope he doesn’t play like his surname. Lastly
it’s a divisional match up and this should be the biggest
incentive to Miami to step up.
