NFL Week 1 1st game
Early
season thoughts are cant wait for the 1st game. Although
last season was a punting nightmare with no two weeks alike from
week 5, there are always lessons to be learnt. Final figures not as
bad as you might have expected. I will put up some preferences on
teams and players later but as for tonight have to say there
couldn’t be a better fixture. Forget about preseason, it looks
like most teams brought in people from the local bar to play. As for
a successful punting season it will be, and this time I wont be
giving it back so quickly as I did towards end of regular season.
The other thing I will not get involved in the BF forum bowlarks of
recent times, if people want to criticize they can. Bottom line is I
am doing this for 2 reasons, firstly because of the huge enjoyment I
get from watching the NFL and secondly down to the fact that Dave
aka Smashiton.com is one of the good guys and a long standing friend
who has followed me on this sport over many years not just one. Most
important in all of this is if you cannot afford to lose don’t bet
my selections, that way no harm is done. If you tail me in I wish us
all the very best of luck.
Here
we go for tonight
The
champions versus the pretenders
Colts
finally worked it out as season progressed and if truth be told it
was the defence that got it done for them. Manning without doubt the
brightest quarterback around got his reward for the talent he
possesses. His clutch player the imperious Mr Harrison will always
make the game look easy and his golden hands should feature against
a side who will need to improve their 2006 form against the pass,
make no mistake it wont be easy but this is something they have
worked on in close season and tonight will answer some of the
doubts. However the real fireworks will be on the ground.
Potentially the best rushing partnership this year in favour of the
Saints (The DEUCE and also the multi talented Reggie Bush who will
be twice the player he looked last year), along with the mighty
talents of Addai for the Indians. All of these guys are explosive in
all they do, but for me the player who will do something really
special is Marques Colston, this guy barring injuries may well
emulate Marvin Harrison one day, but it is my opinion he has the
best catching hands in the entire league The
game is likely to be high scoring, I had 55 points as my idea of
total points, so with the offers out there I would not get involved.
Time
for me to do a Kevin Pullein and declare
NO
BET
More
later
