NFL Week 3
Here's this weeks thoughts, it's tougher than the 1st week, small stakes
advised, good luck.
New York Jets at Buffalo
Looks a close game, New York QB Pennington is some way ahead of his
counterpart at this stage, great throwing arm and does well enough
on 3rd conversions a big help especially if chasing the game.
However the legendary Curtis Martin ( NYJ ) not about the running
game will favour the Bills MaGhee who will trouble the Jets
defence, affording Losman the chance not to be that
aggressive with his arm, watch out for the excellent defensive
abilities of the improving Ryan Denney.
I think Bills win this but cant recommend betting the 5.5 !
either team
Cincinnati Bengals
at Pittsburgh Steelers
Sit back and enjoy, the immovable
object that is the Steelers against the irresistable force of the
Bengals, absolutely no bet, beginning to sound like Kevin Pullein
Jacksonville Jaguars
at Indianapolis Colts
The Colts speak for themselves, what
you see is what you get, for me Manning is the main man, best QB
by far, different class mind and if he gets any sort of protection
they will run riot, Mathis (Jags) is possibly the most effective
defender but he takes risks and on occasion gets out of position,
the Jaguars offence is not for me, Taylor (RB) their most potent
outlet is less effective given Leftwich's lack of ability. Indians
can score very quickly whereas nothing gets done too soon by the
Jags.
Colts win comfortably
Tennessee Titans at
Miami Dolphins
Possibly the worst match of the day,
might get send you to the nuthouse but a must play game for me.
Sometimes when you evaluate teams, the most important thing is to
accept your original thoughts were misplaced, I genuinely believed
Miami would do well this year and saw the signing of Culpepper as
a good one, but truth is he's overated. He has the physical
capabilities to be awesome but his nemisis will always be his
decision making. He throws too many bad balls and defences eyes
light up when they see that it's him throwing the ball. His
counterpart is the equally ineffective Kerry Collins, but make no
mistake, when he gets his timing right his arm is different gravy
to his opponent. The key to the game for me, is the lack of
potence on each team, and the 11 start for the Titans could well
be a gift, the NAP for me this week, but small stakes only
given the teams involved.
Chicago Bears at
Minnesota Vikings
A belter of a game, the Bears at this
stage look mightily impressive, very difficult to break down but
this year they are scoring more freely, but the 3.5 start home
side is appealing, think Smoots will play well for the Titans
defence.
Bet Selections
12 points win Tennessee +11
4x2 points win trebles and 4 point
acca with
24 points invested
Indianopolis -6.5
Minnesota +3.5
Carolina -2.5
Tenessee + 9.5 ( have to take
less to get the 2.5 Carolina, the start in that game
much more significant )
PS You can play Carolina -3 (push)
and get 10.5 Tennessee if you chose but i prefer the former
option.
